We have always intended for the knowledge and practices developed on the farm to have relevance beyond its boundaries. Ecological farming cannot remain theoretical or be possible only under privileged conditions. It must engage with the realities of the millions of farmers across India and the world who cultivate under constraints of land, water, labour, rising costs, uncertain markets, and a changing climate. The visit was an affirmation of this intention and allowed us to share our struggles and challenges too, which only other farmers can understand fully. 

We are also excited about the future possibilities of such engagements. Farmers throughout the Puducherry and Auroville bioregion carry extensive knowledge developed through generations of working with local land, crops, and seasons. Their observations, questions, and practical experience can deepen and challenge our own understanding. Building closer relationships with neighbouring farmers is therefore as much an opportunity for AuroOrchard to learn and participate in building a stronger and more resilient regional agriculture.
